Dr. Joshua Rushing is a 2010 graduate of the Northeast College of Health sciences located in Seneca Falls, NY. Upon graduation, Dr. Rushing received the Health Center Award for Clinical excellence in the areas of diagnosis, patient care and adjustive procedures. Prior to starting his Chiropractic education, Dr. Rushing studied biology at St. Louis University.
Dr. Rushing has extensive training in sports related injuries and has a passion for the diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries associated with the triathlete including swimming, cycling and running. His patients range from young and old, weekend warriors, professional athletes, and hard laborers. His treatment plans are personalized to address the specific needs and goals of each patient. Dr. Rushing is excited to bring his unique style of Chiropractic Care to Healthsmith after spending several years caring for patients in a private practice setting in Reno and many years in Charleston, SC.
When not at work, Dr. Rushing enjoys maintaining an active lifestyle. He can be found most weekends in Washoe Valley on his favorite bike, or tearing up a gravel or single track trail on his other bikes. He is an avid ultra distance racer and triathlete. When at home, he enjoys the constant struggle of mastering blues guitar and trying to tame that beard!
